UGH. The last day or two has been just insane. Last night I got an e-mail from my painter teacher asking how I was doing, since I had skipped class about 6 times at the point. She mentioned that failing her class results in 4 absences. I cried for awhile, beating myself up about how stupid and selfish I had been. I didn't go to class not only because I didn't want to sit in it for 3 hours, but because I'd go and often feel really inadequate with my minimal artistic talent. It's rough being in a class where everyone has beautiful artwork except for me! It made me upset sometimes, and I thought it'd be best to just avoid going, period. I did e-mail my friend from time to time asking what assignments I could do, and for the most part, turned them in. Well, I was freaking out all night, crying, praying, and beating myself up about it. If I don't pass the class, I don't graduate. Basically, I just screwed myself and Zak over.
But, as luck/fate/God would have it, my teacher is actually an extremely caring and wonderful lady and she is not going to fail me. I explained my situation and we worked it out, and I only have two additional paintings to make up and then I will be ok. I told her I'd be ok with a C for the semester, I am at that point where a C is an A to me. So thankfully, that is all sorted out.
I was having an ok day until my printer ran out of color ink while printing off a big assignment for my art history class. I decided to go up to the school to print out the rest of it. But when I arrived, I discovered that my external hard drive cable usb cord thing had broken, leaving a bunch of wires out in the open. I tried to fix it and hold it down, but it didn't seem to work. Frustrated, I walked home. I (think, hope) found a replacement cord on ebay for like 5 bucks, and hopefully it will get here soon. I grabbed Zak's smaller jump drive and headed up back to campus. Luckily, it's only about a ten minute walk, but it's about 30 degrees outside and I was pretty pissed at this point.
I got to the copy spot place and the computer wasn't recognizing my usb thing. The guy came over and we tried something different. (I wish I had known that earlier, because I probably could have held together the wires on my external hard drive long enough to copy the files I needed to that computer, but nope.) And then some of the fonts weren't the same (ugh) so I had to fix that. Then the pages weren't printing, so I had like, 3 guys helping me, and it finally worked out, but I was just so annoyed at this point. $10 later, I walked home with everything I needed.
Yes, it got all worked out, but GEEZ it was such a pain in the butt. Plus Zak is gone and his phone battery is really low so I don't know where he is and when he'll be home and I'm hungry and just BLAH.
Graduation couldn't come soon enough. Ten more days.
