Day 24 — The person that gave you your favorite memory
Hmm... I don't have ONE favorite memory, so this will be a collection of favorites.
One of my favorites would be the night we were having some major problems with the plumbing, and we had to sleep at my grandparents' house, when I was in high school. I knew my parents were stressed, so I tried to gather things for Kenny & Jenna and me, as quietly and quickly as I could. Jenna, being smaller then, had been asleep for a half hour or so, and was pretty groggy when we woke her up. Kenny had gotten into some silly fight about not needing a sleeping bag, he would sleep on Grandma's futon, and when Jenna heard this, she was like, '...but then it would just be an '-ING' bag' and cracked up for about 10 minutes straight. It was so ridiculous and funny, that we couldn't help but laugh. That's what we get for waking her up in the middle of her sleeping and try to talk to her.
Well, let's see. A person that gave my some favorite memories would be one of my best friends, Amy. I can't specify one memory, but a lot of them involve watching silly shows on tv in her room. The like of which included Degrassi, Shark Week, a show about tatooing in Africa, another show about a GIANT SQUID. She would just let me have the remote and often she would groan as I found some awesome documentary about the 10 Most Deadliest Sharks. Also, I love playing video games with her, those were always some good times.
Let's do one about Zak, now. There are so many great ones, including the night he proposed (he left his hat on, and I jokingly tease him about it all the time, much to his embarrassment), but one of my favorites is from before we starting dating. I was sitting in my apartment, some of my roommates had gone to some people's apartment, so I was mostly alone. Our phone rang and it was Zak on the line, asking if I wanting to go crash our friends' game they were having in one of the buildings on campus. I agreed and we left to find everyone. They were playing some game that involved wearing socks, so all of their shoes were in a pile. We decided we weren't going to play, mostly because I didn't want to run around without my shoes ones. Instead, we took a few of the guys' shoes and hid them. And we also moved some benches to block off the staircases. Then we wandered around the building (it quickly became our favorite to explore, and where he proposed), and drew funny cartoons on the whiteboards. That night was so much fun, and remains one of my favorite memories I have with Zak. We spent several hours just talking, and an instant connection, that we started to hang out more and more until it was 'official' a few weeks later.
So. There you go.
