Well this past month has sucked for my body. I got a different prescription for birth control and it just sucks. I thought I was going to get the same stuff I've been taking for the past two and a half years without any problems, but it turns out that wasn't meant to be. Instead, I got these pills that gradually increase the amount of hormones each week, and by the third week I will be taking as much of that hormone as I was on my old pills. But for some dumb reason, these new pills have made me throw up a handful of times. I almost always feel nauseous for a good couple of hours in the morning, and often on the verge of vomiting. My appetite has gone way down, so much so that on some days I only had water and maybe some crackers with peanut butter.
Everyone I've talked to said to call my doctor and fix it immediately, which I planned on doing. However, I do recall the first month I ever was on birth control, my old doctor had me take them at night because I would most likely get nauseous. I remember that happening the first month, but from then on, it was smooth sailing. I would like to think (hope) that if I kept up these pills, next month wouldn't be as bad. But then I remember all gross I've been feeling and decided to call them and tell them to switch my prescription back to my original stuff. Because if I wanted to feel like I'm pregnant, I would just do it. So not only has this deterred my plans for motherhood (more like, pushed them back even further than we've pushed them already), but has generally pissed me off. This is the dumbest thing that's happened to me with medication and I am just flat out irate that this happened. I shouldn't feel this awful every morning. UGH.
So I'm going to call the doctor right now and complain and get my old stuff back.
Update: called the doctor to get my prescription switched, seemed fine until I got to the pharmacy and I had to tell the lady there the doctor messed up again and hopefully tomorrow someone will get it right. UGH.
Second update: FINALLY got the right prescription today! Thank you, lady at Safeway!
